Aquafine Premium Watercolor Inks

Daler-Rowney Aquafine Watercolor Inks

Pigment-based watercolor inks that are perfect for a wide range of uses and techniques.

Features

Pigment-Based Watercolor Inks

Daler-Rowney Aquafine Watercolor Inks are made with lightfast pigments, guaranteeing superior resistance to fading over time versus dye-based alternatives.

*As solids suspended in solutions, pigments may gradually settle over time but can be easily reincorporated by shaking the bottles before use.

High Lightfastness

All 20 colors in the Aquafine Ink range are permanent with a high degree of lightfastness (3*+). These 20 colors are fully compatible with the tube and half pan colors in the traditional Aquafine watercolor range

Liquid Watercolor

Aquafine Ink is a water-soluble ink range that can also be used as a liquid watercolor. These watercolor inks have a higher pigment concentration so colors are more concentrated compared to traditional watercolors in tubes or half pans. They can be used straight out of the dropper or diluted with water.

These watercolor inks can be rewet after drying and lifted off paper, like traditional watercolors, making them unique versus other Daler-Rowney acrylic inks. Achieve the same watercolor techniques: wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, lifting & layering. Perfect to be used alongside traditional watercolors as well as mixed with watercolors to enhance color saturation.

Versatility

Ideal for use like a normal ink for calligraphy and to produce technical illustrations and finely worked drawings. Aquafine inks can be applied using traditional brushes but also work well with technical pens and paint markers like the FW Mixed Media Markers and for lettering, airbrushing, urban sketching, plein air and is also compatible for pouring with FW Ink Pouring Medium.
